The Kisi integration grants temporary access to certain users and companies to necessary locks. Users unlock doors via the Access page right in your app.
Kisi is a distinct company not affiliated with us. For any inquiries regarding Kisi's solutions, services, or pricing, please reach out to Kisi directly. We do not have the authority to provide information or support on behalf of Kisi.
Prerequisites
To enable Kisi integration with your app, make sure you've completed the following prerequisites:
Have an active Spacebring subscription with an Essential or higher plan.
Have your Kisi account set up with all locks configured and added to access groups created exclusively for your app.
Reusing existing access groups you have previously configured for other applications will result in errors.
3. Disable the Bluetooth requirement for the locks in the Kisi app. If enabled, users will not be able to unlock the doors through the Access button in your app because opening using Bluetooth works only via the Kisi app.
4. Have access to the Kisi owner account.
Enable the Kisi integration
Open your app and go to the Locations > Settings page > Kisi.
Press
Connect
, fill in the details of your Kisi account, and confirm your choice. In the "Email" field, add the email address of the owner of your Kisi account.Manage the visibility of the Access page. Understand visibility settings
If you want nonmembers to open the doors through your app when they book something, choose "Public" in the "Visibility" field.
4. Select the name of the Place where your Kisi locks were added and press Save
.
You can connect a separate Kisi account to each location in your app.
To connect the Kisi integration to your app successfully, make sure to avoid the following common mistakes:
Wrong email, password, or domain name. Double-check the credentials of your Kisi account which you're entering in the app.
The email you use doesn't have the owner role in your Kisi account. Make sure to type the email address of the Kisi account owner.
You have more than 10 active API connections/logins in Kisi and, therefore, Kisi restricts you from connecting to another API connection. Contact Kisi and delete some API connections to have fewer than 10.

How the Kisi integration works
User synchronization to Kisi
Users sync into your Kisi dashboard automatically and receive access to the access group defined in a plan, room, or desk. The following information is synchronized:
Full Name
Email
Access for subscriptions
Users receive access to opening the doors together with their subscriptions. Users go to the Locations > Access > tap the desired door button to open it.
When a user subscribes (either manually or through self-sign-up), they will be added to a specific access group for as long as their subscription is active.
The subscription remains active from its start date until its end or cancellation date, regardless of the payment status of the member's invoices. To revoke access from the member, schedule a subscription end or cancel it.
If a subscription is created for a company, all company users will be synced to use Kisi. If a user's or company's subscription is canceled or expires, their access to Kisi will be automatically revoked.
Access to rooms
Members and nonmembers who book a room will have access to the predetermined access group for the duration of the booking. Additionally, room booking invitees will also be granted access. Users will have a 30-minute grace period before and after the booking time. Below is an example of how access is provided:
Room booking date & time | Access to the predetermined access group |
1/8/2024 12 PM - 4 PM | 1/8/2024 11:30 AM - 4:30 PM |
5/12/2024 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM | 5/12/2024 9:00 AM - 12 PM |
Access to desks
Members and nonmembers who book a desk will be granted access until their bookings ends. Users will have a 30-minute grace period before and after the booking time.
For location members, the desk booking end time is determined by your default location schedule. Below is an example of how access is provided:
Default schedule | Desk booking date | Access to the predetermined access group |
9 AM - 7 PM | 1/8/2024 | 1/8/2024 8:30 AM - 7:30 PM |
10:30 AM - 9:30 PM | 12/10/2024 | 12/10/2024 10 AM - 10 PM |
For network members and nonmembers, the desk booking end time is determined by your public location schedule.
Public schedule | Desk booking date | Access to the predetermined access group |
10 AM - 4 PM | 2/6/2024 | 2/6/2024 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM |
