Prerequisites
To enable SALTO KS integration with Spacebring, make sure you meet these requirements:
Have an active Spacebring subscription with an Essential or higher plan.
Have your SALTO KS account set up with all locks configured and added to access groups created exclusively for Spacebring.
Reusing existing access groups you have previously configured for other applications will result in errors.
3. Have access to the SALTO KS administrator account.
Connect the SALTO KS integration
Go to Spacebring > Integrations page by pressing the menu (...) next to the location's name.
Find the SALTO KS integration page > press
Connect
> permit to connect SALTO KS with Spacebring.Select a Site. You will see all SALTO KS sites where you have an administrator role. By default, no site is selected.
You can connect a separate SALTO KS account to each location in Spacebring.
Configure the SALTO KS integration
The integration between SALTO KS and Spacebring allows granting access based on the following conditions:
Subscription
Room booking
Desk booking
Office booking
Equipment booking
Parking booking
Access based on subscriptions
To automate access for subscriptions, open Spacebring and do the following:
Navigate to Billing > Plans.
Create or edit a plan and select the desired SALTO KS access group in the "Access" section.
Create a subscription manually or let users sign up for plans by themselves.
To grant access to your existing members, edit their subscription and choose the SALTO KS access group. Adding or editing access takes effect immediately.
Access based on bookings
To automate access for resource bookings, do the following:
Navigate to Resources > Rooms, Desks, Offices, Parking, or Equipment page.
Add or edit a resource > select the desired SALTO KS group in the "Access" section and press
Save
.
Access is granted for all future bookings only if an access group is selected or edited for the resource before the booking starts. If the booking has already begun, updated access will not be granted.
How SALTO KS integration works
User synchronization to SALTO KS
Users who qualify for access—based on either a subscription or a booking—are automatically registered in your SALTO KS dashboard with the following details:
Full name as an alias
Email address
User synchronization from Spacebring to SALTO KS occurs at the following times:
30 minutes before the booking starts — for access based on bookings
On the subscription start date — for access based on active subscriptions
During synchronization, users who are new to SALTO KS receive an email invitation to set up a SALTO KS account. Existing users with a SALTO KS account won’t receive an email—they’re granted access automatically and can unlock doors via the SALTO KS app.
Access based on subscriptions
When a user obtains a subscription—whether by self-sign-up or admin allocation—they are added to a specific access group for as long as their subscription is active.
The subscription remains active from its start date until its end or cancellation date, regardless of the payment status of the customer's invoices. To revoke access from the customer, schedule a subscription end or cancel it.
When a subscription is created for a company, all users within that company are invited to SALTO KS. If the company’s subscription is canceled or expires, access for all associated users will be revoked.
Access based on bookings
Users who make a booking are granted access to the designated access group for the entire duration of their booking. Additionally, any invitees to the room booking will also receive access.
Users have a 30-minute grace period before and after the booking time:

Disconnect the SALTO KS integration
To disconnect SALTO KS, follow these steps:
Go to Spacebring > Integrations page by pressing the menu (...) next to the location's name > SALTO KS.
Press
Disconnect
and confirm your choice.
When the integration is disconnected, access will not be granted for future bookings or subscriptions. Any access already granted remains active and must be revoked manually through the SALTO KS dashboard.

To ensure that only the members who are actually coming in get access, follow these steps:
Do not assign an access group to the company's subscription. This prevents all company members from receiving access by default.
Include the required number of day passes in the company's subscription.
Company members need to use these day passes to book a seat when they plan to come in.Assign an access group in the desk settings. This ensures that only those company members who have an active desk booking for the current day will be granted access.
As a result, access will be automatically granted only to those who have booked a desk and are scheduled to come in that day—not the entire company.
