A membership plan, or simply "plan," is a static product you offer customers. Typically plans are used to organize:
Monthly Hot Desk
Fixed Desk
Weekly Plan
... and other types of products you offer. If you provide parking lots and lockers to your users, you can create distinct plans such as "Parking" and "Lockers". These plans will function as standalone memberships and also as add-ons to the primary subscription, offering greater flexibility and customization options.
Create a plan
To create a plan, open Spacebring and do the following:
Go to Billing > Plans.
Press the
Create plan
button.
Plan name — type any text for your reference. The plan name will appear on the Customers overview and invoice transactions.
Cycle — the interval of plan validity and frequency of subscription renewal. It can be either 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, or 1 year.
Description — a user-friendly explanation of what is included in the plan. The description is shown when people sign up for plans.
Price — the membership fee for one cycle. Invoicing must be enabled on the menu (...) next to your location name > Location settings > Billing for this option to show up.
Custom tax rate - enable to set a custom tax rate for the plan if the fixed location tax doesn't apply to it.
Sign-up — allow users to see the plan and sign up or request to sign up for it.
Type - define if users can sign up for the plan immediately or request plan sign-ups.
Sign-up setting | Meaning |
Enabled with the "Request" type | Users can request a sign-up for the plan. Administrators process requests as support tickets. |
Enabled with the "Immediate" type | Users can sign up for the plan immediately and make the payment without contacting an administrator. |
Disabled | Users cannot see the plan in the app among other plans and sign up or apply for it. Only administrators can see the plan and select it when creating a subscription for the user or company. |
By default, the "Sign-up" property is enabled for all plans upon their creation. However, you can disable it for certain plans if you do not want users to see them and sign up or apply.
Credits — the number of expiring credits that will be given to a company or individual user every cycle. These credits expire at the end of every cycle. Credits must be enabled in Location settings > Credits for this option to show up.
Day passes - the number of temporary day passes that will be given to a company or individual user every cycle for booking a hot desk. The day passes expire at the end of every cycle. Day passes must be enabled in Location settings > Desks for this option to show up.

Access — grant access to a certain group for as long as a plan is active.
Printing - grant printing access to a certain group for as long as a plan is active.
3. Tap Save
.
4. All the plans added will become available for creating the subscription and plan sign-up or sign-up requests.
Our recommendations
Create separate plans for each type of office offered with the relevant price, access, and printing groups, etc. Disable the "Sign-up" option inside these plans. Users apply for offices individually, while administrators can quickly create a subscription for the required office.
To offer targeted discounts on specific plans for selected customers, use coupons and promo codes for subscription items. Create coupons and apply them directly when creating subscriptions for users and companies, or share the promo code with customers to redeem the discount on their own when they sign up.

How is a plan different from a desk?
How is a plan different from a desk?
Plans are products (weekly, monthly, yearly) that multiple members can subscribe to at the same time and are used for recurring subscriptions. For example, a monthly plan for Open Space or a Dedicated Desk.
Desks are physical resources that can be booked on-demand by only one person at a time.
All one-day access options should be added to the Desks page. There, users can purchase a one-off day pass for a specific date. This is non-recurring access.
All longer-term access options (weekly, monthly, yearly, etc.) should be added to Plans. On the
Sign up
page, users can subscribe to a longer-term plan (weekly, monthly, etc.). Plans are primarily designed for recurring subscriptions, though users can choose to enable or disable auto-renewal if they prefer to get access for 1 week or 1 month only.
This way, users have two clear paths:
Desks — for one-day access (hot desk, open space, longe zone or even daily private office).
Sign up — for longer-term subscriptions.
