Sign up for a plan

Learn how to subscribe for a plan

Updated today

Depending on your preferred setup, users can sign up for a plan either through the Sign up button, or directly from the relevant resource page — such as Rooms, Desks, Offices, Parking, or Equipment. Configure plan sign-ups

All users who don't have a subscription yet can sign up for a plan.

Sign up via the "Sign up" button

Nonmembers

Nonmembers see the prominent Sign up button on the main page of the member web portal or mobile app. By clicking it next to their desired location, all available plans are listed.

On desktop, the Sign up button remains visible under the location name, even after navigating to other pages.

Members without an active subscription

Members who do not currently have an active plan can subscribe by:

  1. Navigating to Locations > Membership > Billing.

  2. Clicking Subscribe in the "Subscription" section.

Alternatively, they can sign up by following a direct link to the plan.

Administrators associated with a location won’t see the Sign up button themselves. This button is only visible to users who are not yet members and do not hold an active subscription. Understand user roles

Sign up for resources

When sign-ups for resources are configured, users can view and sign up for a plan directly through a specific resource—such as a room, desk, office, etc.

Here's how the process looks for a user:

  1. Users open the relevant resource page (e.g., Desks).

  2. Click on the resource and explore membership plans for it in the "Pricing" section.

  3. Press Subscribe or Book or subscribe if the resource also supports hourly/daily bookings.

  4. Switch to the "Subscription" tab at the top.

How users sign up

When a user selects the desired plan and clicks Subscribe:

  1. They are prompted to log in and guided through a welcoming onboarding process in the app.

  2. Choose the subscription "Start" date.

  3. Enable or disable "Renewal":

    • If enabled, their subscription will renew automatically.

    • If disabled, the subscription will end after one plan cycle is over (1 month, 3 months, 6 months, etc.).

    • If the "Renewal" switch is not manageable, it means that the plan includes a minimum commitment period of more than 1 cycle, or your billing cycle anchor settings restrict it.

  4. Choose "Quantity" (e.g., 3 dedicated desk memberships for a team).

  5. The user's name is prefilled based on the information they entered during onboarding.

  6. Enable or disable the "I'm purchasing as a business" option.

    • Users who sign up as individual members are instantly approved upon successful payment and appear in Customers > Users.

    • For users who choose "I'm purchasing as a business", the following happens:

      • Users appear in Customers > Users as a member.

      • A company with the specified name is created on the Customers > Companies.

      • The member is assigned as a "Manager" of the company.

  7. They can add their billing details, which will automatically appear on all invoices and receipts issued to them.

  8. Enter a promo code for a discount, if applicable. The eligible discount and the reduced price are displayed immediately.

  9. Enter their payment method details and proceed with the payment.

How sign-up works

  1. When users sign up on their own, they pay for their first subscription cycle right away, even if the subscription start date is set for a future date.

  2. Only after this, the system invites them to the Community, and a subscription is created.

  3. Location administrators receive an admin notification each time someone signs up for a plan.

  4. If users sign up for a plan via a certain resource page, this resource is automatically assigned to them in their subscription. If users subscribe via the Sign up button, they don't automatically get a resource assigned to them.

  5. Once the subscription starts, the customer gets all the plan benefits, including credits, day passes, Kisi or SALTO KS access to unlock doors, Wi-Fi, and more.

  6. To check the minimum commitment end date, users go to Membership > Billing > open the subscription > check the "Items" section. After this initial period, the subscription remains recurring. To request a subscription cancellation, users should contact an administrator.
