Deliver a superior visitor experience with the Reception app

Reception is a tablet app that streamlines visitor check-in and check-out, creates a professional first impression, and reduces your front-desk workload.

It allows visitors to self-check in within seconds, keeps host members informed in real time, and enables collecting contacts from walk-ins β€” all without a receptionist's involvement.

How to get Reception

Prerequisites

  1. Have an active subscription with an Essential or higher plan.

  2. Supported tablet devices must meet these criteria:

    • A minimum screen size of 7 inches.

    • Support Google Play (for Android) or the App Store (for iPadOS).

    • Android 8.0 or above, iOS/iPadOS 15.1 or later

  3. Have the Visitors module enabled and configured for the location.

Get Reception add-on

Sign up for the Reception add-on. If you have a Member Mobile App add-on, Reception is included for free in your subscription.

How to access Reception

Log in to and set up Reception

  1. Once you've got a Reception add-on, download it to your tablet by following these links:

  2. Open the app and press Log in.

  3. Log in with the account of an administrator for the location where you want to enable Reception.

  4. Select your network and relevant location.

  5. Once selected, the screen with the check-in and check-out options will appear for you to invite visitors for registration.

  6. To prevent strangers from shutting down the app and reopening your tablet, set up Guided access on iPad or Screen pinning on Android tablets.

Exit Reception

  1. Turn off the Guided access on iPad or Screen pinning on Android.

  2. Close the app by swiping it up and off the screen.

Log out of Reception

To log out from your current account on Reception:

  1. Close Reception by swiping it up and off the screen.

  2. Reopen it.

  3. Tap the (...) More button in the top right corner > Log out.

How Reception works

  • Express check-in for preregistered visitors: Visitors preregistered by members check in using a visit code. Host members receive immediate notifications, ensuring a smooth arrival without a receptionist's manual coordination.

  • Self-service registration for unregistered visitors: Unregistered visitors can register directly on the self-service tablet and request a visit from the host. This prevents reception bottlenecks and reduces waiting time.

  • Visitor check-out for tracking limits: Visitors check out through Reception, allowing administrators to track visit durations and enforce visitor limits with less effort.

  • Contact collection: Apart from visitors, Reception captures contact details from walk-ins, helping you grow your lead base without relying on separate tools or manual follow-ups.

  • Custom branded experience: Reception reflects your brand with your logo, colors, and location photo, delivering a consistent and professional experience from the moment visitors arrive.
