Pre-onboarding tips

This article outlines how to prepare for your Spacebring onboarding, ensuring a faster and smoother setup.

Updated yesterday

Getting started with a new platform can feel like a big step. If you're planning to join Spacebring soon, a little preparation can go a long way in making your onboarding process incredibly efficient and your launch seamless.

We created a helpful checklist of what you can prepare in advance:

Set up your payment gateway account

Familiarize yourself with payment gateway options available in Spacebring and consider which one best suits your business. Then, set up a merchant account directly with the payment gateway of your choice.

Having your account details ready will speed up integration later and ensure you can accept one-off and recurring payments for your products and services.

Collect essential billing information

Gather all necessary billing details: your legal company name, registered business address, and tax identification number (e.g., VAT, GST, or similar). This information will appear on all invoices and receipts, ensuring your customers easily recognize your business.

If you also accept bank transfers and wish to reflect your bank account details on invoices, have those ready too.

Prepare branding & visual assets

  • Workspace name: Choose a name for your member web portal. If you plan to purchase the Member Mobile App add-on, select a name for your mobile app. Remember, app store titles have a strict limit of 30 characters.

  • Description: Compile a 200-300 character marketing description of your workspace.

  • Logo: Prepare your logo according to these requirements. This is essential for white-labeling your member web portal. If you plan to purchase Member Mobile App add-on, ensure you have a mobile app logo that meets these requirements.

  • Brand accent color: Decide your primary brand accent color for consistent branding across your member web portal.

  • Cover photos for resources: Gather engaging, high-quality cover photos for your location, resources (rooms, desks, etc.), and any shop products you plan to offer. Find the media requirements here.

Compile your service & pricing content

Compile a clear document that outlines all your membership plans, resources (rooms, desks, etc.), and shop items, including their descriptions and pricing details. Having this organized will make setup much faster.

Prepare your legal documents

Prepare the text for your Privacy Policy and Terms of Use (if available). Once you sign up, we'll automatically apply our templates to get you started, which you can customize anytime.

All users will agree to these documents during their login process, as it's a mandatory step.

Complete the setup on your domain registrar's side

Initially, your member web portal will operate under a Spacebring domain (e.g. currents.spacebring.com). If you plan to use your own custom domain name (e.g., app.currents.com), complete the setup on your domain registrar's side.

Running member web portal on a custom domain is only available on Essential and higher plans.

Prepare your Apple Developer account

If you plan to purchase the Member Mobile App add-on, you'll need an Apple Developer account configured. We recommend you start the process of creating this account in advance.

Once you sign-up for Spacebring and your Apple Developer account is ready, you'll invite us there and we'll start preparing your branded mobile apps.
